It is their single launch at St Giles in The Fields church, London on 22nd February and tickets are available here.

spindle magazine

I am thrilled to say I have somehow managed to find the time to take on the role of Fashion Editor at Spindle Magazine. Oops! is more alive and kicking than ever before but I’m a bit of a masochist when it comes to working under pressure! Steve Glashier who I have previously worked with is the magazine’s photographer and Heather Falconer (absolute star!) is the magazine’s founder and Editor In Chief.

It is a free magazine that promotes emerging talent accross the fields of fashion, art, music and design and it is being launched in May. I styled this shoot for our holding page last week. Hair and make up is by Lydia Pankhurst, the latex stockings and eyepatch are by Atsuko Kudo and the jacket is by ME!

Chani, the model is tons of fun and has soo much energy! We’ll definitely be using her again. For hair and makeup I went for a Heather Smalls style 90s top knot combined with MASSIVE lips, white contact lenses and Atsuko Kudo’s incredible polka dot heart shaped eye patch! The shoot went unbelievably smoothly and we have a great team so I have extremely high hopes for our first issue.

costume design for bonobo

I was commissioned by Steve Glashier to make this costume for a music video for Bonobo.
We shot it in Ashdown forest today, I’ve made costumes and outfits for music videos before but this was the first time I’ve been on set doing the styling too - loved it!
The video focuses on an amazing dancer wearing this outfit.
The outfit is simply hundreds of rags put together in layers of different colours. I made the headdress from the tail feathers of a pheasant that my mum’s dog caught and a seagull skull from my brothers skull collection.

Behind the scenes, trying to untangle a million rags…

Happy new one!

Oooh! It’s been a great start to the year I had a nice little write up in Brighton’s Source which you can read on their website. And I’m chuffed to be included in The Brighton Collective who have written a really lovely article about me - their full website is being launched very soon.

Gaggle are continuing to STORM it in their OOPS! Gowns and are in HEAT and BIZARRE this month.

I crawled out of my festive/gluttony hole this week and have dived straight in to LOTS of exciting projects including music videos, a new stockist in Japan, collabs with new magazines and a brand new hoody collection so LOOK OUT!
